Hand-inked wedding stationery carries the small variations that give a celebration its own visual signature: a dense black monogram on cotton rag, a metallic address on a charcoal envelope, or a botanical stamp repeated across menus and favour tags. Pigment ink suits this work because its suspended colour particles can deliver strong opacity, crisp detail and lasting colour, provided the formula, paper and curing method work together.
Start with the surface rather than the finished design. Cotton paper may pull ink from a fine nib, while coated card can leave the same ink sitting wet on top; vellum, kraft stock and acrylic each create their own handling problems.
